Become a Pilot - Professional Pilot training at Gothenburg City Airport
Svensk Pilotutbildning (SPU) is a well-established training organization that has conducted pilot training in Sweden for more than 15 years. SPU conducts JAR-approved pilot training and is one of the few schools in Sweden that are authorized to conduct helicopter training.
Svensk Pilotutbildning is in an ever-expansive stage where great emphasis is placed on developing their pilot training and fleet renewal, as the demands of the aviation industry grows. In addition, the school is always making sure the individual student's needs and requirements are met.
All the teachers are pilots and many of them work as captains and co-pilots on large Swedish, as well as international airlines.
All the pilot training, both theoretical and practical, are located in Gothenburg City Airport, a very active and stimulating learning environment where our students come in direct contact with the airline industry from day one. The airport is served daily by both heavy international aviation as air ambulance, helicopter traffic and business jets.
Did you know ....
Svensk Pilotutbildning has, about once a month, an information day called Recruitment Day. On this day you will receive information about pilot training, both helicopter and airplane training, costs, financing, jobs, etc. You will also meet a pilot from an airline who will talk about daily life as a pilot. After lunch, we continue with the first part of the recruitment process, which is of course voluntary. There will be three written tests and a short interview to see if you have what it takes to become a pilot. The day ends with a tour of our facilities and of course a look at our aircraft and helicopters.
