Motorflygförbundet
(association of powered flight)
KSAK has an office at the airport where Jan-Olof Wikström
works as an inspector for Motorflygförbundet.
Motorflygförbundet KSAK (M-KSAK) was formed in 1993 as an
independent branch association affiliated to Kungliga Svenska
Aeroklubben (the Royal Swedish Aero Club, KSAK) and Svenska
Flygsportförbundet (the Swedish Airsport Association, FSF).
M-KSAK is affiliated to Riksidrottsförbundet (the Swedish Sports
Conferederation, RF) through FSF.
Motorflygförbundet KSAK is the natural meeting point for all
non-commercial flight, ie, non-profit "general aviation". The
association promotes club and private aviation and serves as the
central organisation for general aviation. Its aim is for
aviation to be an accepted means of transport, privately as well
as for work. Through the flying clubs, the association works to
make the resources available within general aviation useful to
the community. Some examples include looking out for forest
fires and other so-called relief flights.
