Aeroklubben
There are two flying clubs at Göteborg City. You can train
for a pilot’s licence and then hire one of the club’s planes.
Aeroklubben is Europe’s second oldest flying club, and was
established in 1918.
Today, Aeroklubben’s members have five planes of their own:
three Pipers and two Cessnas. The planes are used for private
flying and to train new pupils. The club’s members also have a
Robin (made in France) that can be used for aerobatics.
Västkustflyg AB is wholly owned by Aeroklubben and
carries on commercial business. The company has a number of
qualified pilots with CPL certificates. This means that the
pilots have professional flying training and are allowed to
charge to fly passengers. The work of Västkustflyg includes
sightseeing flights and photo assignments.
