Did you know...
That the altimeter in a plane is really only a barometer
measuring air pressure. The lower the pressure, the higher the
altitude. For the altimeter to show the correct altitude, it has
to be calibrated at ground level by setting the air pressure
there in relation to the altitude above sea level.
